Picture the year 1872, but completely flipped on its head. We aren’t just talking about dusty carriages and boring hot air balloons. Phileas Fogg just dropped a massive bet that he can circumnavigate the globe in exactly 80 days, and the entire world is dripping in heavy steampunk tech. You are looking at massive mechanical camels, steam powered trains, and deep sea submarines. It is a wildly creative spin on a classic story, and it will completely consume your free time.

A GORGEOUS WORLD WITH ENDLESS REPLAY VALUE

The sheer amount of talent crammed into this game is actually mind blowing. You get these drop dead gorgeous illustrations perfectly paired with an original soundtrack that just nails the adventurous vibe. But the real heavyweight champion here is the script. It packs over half a million words. Because it runs on the exact same engine that powered the legendary Sorcery! series, no two playthroughs ever feel the same. Every single choice you make violently shifts the narrative, meaning you can replay it a dozen times and still stumble into completely new storylines.

PLAYING THE GUY WHO ACTUALLY KEEPS THINGS RUNNING

Here is the best part: you don’t actually play as the rich guy. You step into the shoes of Fogg’s ridiculously overworked valet, Passepartout. Basically, you are the one doing all the heavy lifting. You have to aggressively manage Fogg’s declining health while frantically balancing a very tight budget. You can absolutely try to bribe a guard to sneak onto a departing airship, but if you blow all your cash, you will literally end up begging on the streets. Every piece of luggage matters. You will constantly find yourself stressing over whether a second pair of socks is really worth the inventory space.

BEATING THE UNFORGIVING CLOCK

The time management in this game will seriously spike your blood pressure. The in game clock is utterly ruthless. It never stops ticking down. Every single submarine, mechanical beast, and train operates on a strict departure schedule. If you miss your ride because you spent too much time wandering around a local market, you are completely screwed. The world feels entirely alive, and it definitely does not wait around for you to get your act together.

MURDER, ROMANCE, AND HIGH STAKES DECISIONS

Every single city you drag yourselves into hides a massive web of interactive stories. You are constantly holding the reins. You might accidentally stumble into a massive political rebellion, get tangled up in a sketchy murder mystery, or even spark up a wild romance. Earning Fogg’s trust can unlock hidden routes that shave precious days off your travel time, but making the wrong call can easily end in absolute disaster. It makes every single run feel incredibly dangerous and fresh.

STALKING RIVAL PLAYERS IN REAL TIME

As if the ticking clock wasn’t stressful enough, you aren’t doing this in a vacuum. The game connects to a live network where you can actually watch other players crawling across the globe in real time. You can stalk their routes, silently laugh at their massive delays, or steal their strategies if they figure out a faster path. You can even challenge your friends to a brutal head to head race to see who can navigate this chaotic steampunk world the fastest.

“Good news, Monsieur!“ I exclaimed. “We have been updated again, properly to support ’phones running the fourteenth edition of Android.” Monsieur Fogg made no reply, but he glanced up fleetingly from his newspaper, and I thought to detect an air of approval in his customary silence.
