MOD Info
The tower defense genre was starting to feel completely stale until Empire Warriors dropped. You aren’t just sitting back and watching towers do all the dirty work anymore. This game aggressively throws you straight into the meat grinder. You have to actively build lethal chokepoints, manage real time upgrades, and physically drag powerful heroes around the map to plug up holes in your defense. It is ridiculously fast paced.
You always know exactly where the enemy is coming from, but that doesn’t make stopping them any easier. The map gives you specific, pre determined slots to drop your towers. You have to actively study the incoming waves and build a perfectly balanced gauntlet to shred them before they breach your gates.
The developers actually nailed the balancing here. You cannot just spam one overpowered tower and expect to coast through the campaign. You actually have to use your brain, mixing heavy artillery with rapid fire archery to handle different enemy types.
Here is where things get genuinely sweaty. Your towers are great, but your heroes are the absolute heavy hitters.
You manually control these guys, dragging them right into the thick of the fight to physically block the horde. When things look completely desperate, dropping a hero’s massive ultimate skill can instantly vaporize an entire wave. But you have to heavily babysit them. If your hero takes too much damage, they will absolutely drop dead, leaving your frontline totally exposed against massive boss fights.
You have to constantly dump resources into your defenses. The upgrade system splits into two massive trees: permanent stat boosts you buy in the lobby, and temporary, mid match evolutions that push your towers into their absolute ultimate forms.
Cash is ridiculously tight during a fight, forcing you to make split second choices on what to upgrade next. And the absolute best part? The entire game works totally offline. You can grind out permanent upgrades on a subway ride or a long flight without desperately hunting for a steady connection.
The sheer volume of content packed in here is wild. You are looking at well over a hundred different maps, and the terrain constantly shifts to screw up your favorite strategies.
Once you clear the normal campaign and unlock the nightmare difficulty, the game completely takes the gloves off. The enemy waves get ridiculously huge, and they hit like a freight train. You have to aggressively experiment with your 11 different heroes and tower loadouts just to survive. Honestly, you need to completely max out your stats before even thinking about touching nightmare. It will completely wreck you.
What is your usual go to tower combination when the enemy waves start getting completely out of hand?
– Added seasonal event
– Fix some bugs
