Sitting back and letting the AI do the work is a guaranteed death sentence here. The battlefield is split into multiple active lanes, meaning you have to constantly juggle your mutated beasts across several rows to block massive incoming enemy waves. If you overload your top lane and completely ignore the bottom, the enemy is going to instantly smash right through your defenses and wreck your stronghold. You have to aggressively counter every single move they make on the fly.
