Imagine trying to herd cats, but instead of cats, it is tiny people desperately trying to get to their front doors while villains actively hunt them down. Home Rush: Draw To Go Home completely ditches standard joystick controls for something way more chaotic. You just drag your finger across the screen to physically draw their escape route. Sounds ridiculously easy, right? It isn’t. The game constantly throws aggressive enemies and weird environmental traps in your face, forcing you to think fast before your characters get totally ambushed.
The core mechanic is dead simple but wildly addictive.
You literally just trace a line from your character straight to their house. But here is the massive catch. The second you lift your finger, they start running, and the map instantly fills up with bad guys trying to snatch them. If your drawn path accidentally clips a villain’s patrol route, your run is completely cooked and you have to start the level over. To keep things from getting totally impossible, you can actively route your characters behind physical objects on the map. Using the environment to hide them from sight until the coast is completely clear becomes absolutely mandatory as things get harder.
You aren’t just dealing with a few basic puzzles here.
The game packs over 99 distinct levels that aggressively ramp up the difficulty the further you push. It isn’t just about dodging the bad guys, either. Sometimes, your biggest threat is your own sloppy planning. When you have multiple characters running on the screen at the exact same time, you have to carefully time their specific paths so they don’t violently crash into each other at a drawn intersection. Throw in a strict ticking clock, and you suddenly have a fast paced brain burner that forces you to adapt your drawing strategy on the fly.
