The whole mutant evolution clicker genre is totally unhinged, and I am entirely here for it. We have already spent way too many hours mutating cows, platypuses, and goats into absolute abominations. Now, Tapps Games is taking us straight to the bottom of the ocean.
Forget everything you know about those terrifying deep sea monster documentaries. The seventh entry in this massive series proves that octopuses are actually just clumsy, hilarious little blobs waiting to be mashed together.
MASHING TENTACLES TOGETHER
The gameplay loop here is dangerously addictive.
You basically just grab two identical octopuses, drag them across your screen, and smash them into each other to force a bizarre mutation. Suddenly, your basic sea creature turns into a completely exotic, multi eyed freak. It is the perfect mashup of classic evolution dynamics and those incremental clicker mechanics that completely ruin your productivity. You just keep upgrading and combining. It never really stops.
DOODLE ART AND MULTIPLE DESTINIES
This isn’t some hyper realistic ocean simulator.
The whole game leans heavily into a really charming, doodle like illustration style. But do not let the cute art fool you, because things get weird fast. Depending on how you manage your mutations and endless upgrades, you can actually unlock multiple different endings. You get to decide the ultimate, bizarre destiny of your mutant sea creatures. And just for the record, the developers explicitly promise no actual octopuses were harmed making this. Though apparently, the coding team suffered quite a bit.
THE FREE TO PLAY REALITY CHECK
Let’s talk about the download because we all know exactly how the app store works.
You can grab the game and start building your deep sea army completely for free. You don’t have to pay a single cent to jump into the submarine chaos. However, if you get impatient and want to massively speed up your evolution timeline, there are optional in app purchases sitting in the store. You can drop real cash for extra items and premium upgrades if you genuinely want to skip the grind.
Stop worrying about your daily productivity. Start dragging those tentacles around and see exactly what kind of weird mutant you can accidentally create.
