The game totally nails that classic, dark folklore vibe. The environment itself looks gorgeous, packed with incredibly enchanting art design, but do not let the pretty visuals fool you. Almost every single room is hiding a trap. As you desperately sneak around trying to free a bunch of kidnapped kids, you end up crossing paths with some genuinely terrifying entities. You actually get to piece together their dark, tragic backstories while trying not to get completely murdered by them, which adds a surprisingly deep layer of mystery to the standard survival horror loop.

OUTSMARTING THE WITCH UNDER MASSIVE PRESSURE

The puzzle mechanics here are absolutely going to make you sweat. You cannot just casually stroll around a room looking for clues because the witch is actively hunting you down the entire time. The AI is aggressive and adapts to your movements, constantly trying to cut off your escape routes and forcing you to make panic decisions. If she catches you, your run is instantly over.

To survive, you have to rely on pure logic and a heavily utilized magic wand to blast through mystical barriers. The puzzles are incredibly clever and make total sense, but figuring out exactly which spell to use while you can literally hear her footsteps right behind you keeps your adrenaline redlined from start to finish.
