DRAINING YOUR OWN TEAM TO WIN BATTLES

This is where the combat system gets ridiculously interesting. You have a specific party member named Touma who completely ignores standard health and magic bars. Instead, his life force is tied to a unique Blood Gauge.

Here is the catch. Touma’s blood is basically high octane fuel for your entire squad. Your other characters can actually siphon his gauge to launch massive, devastating attacks. Since it takes three full turns for his blood to naturally regenerate, you are constantly playing a sweaty balancing act. You have to aggressively monitor the battlefield, deciding exactly when to drain Touma for a massive hit and when to let him recover so he doesn’t just instantly drop dead on the floor.

HOARDING DUNGEON BATS FOR INSANE BUFFS

Scouring every inch of the creepy dungeons actually pays off big time. There are literal bats hiding in the dark corners of the map, and you can collect and equip them to your party.

Slapping a bat onto a character instantly grants them massive passive bonuses. We are talking total immunity to annoying status ailments or a massive spike in raw physical damage. It is always worth taking a sketchy detour through an unmapped hallway if it means snagging another bat to beef up your squad.

UNLEASHING THE ULTIMATE BLOOD ARMOR

When you finally burn that blood gauge and trigger a blood armor skill, things get totally wild. Your characters physically transform right on the screen, unlocking incredibly broken abilities you cannot access any other way.

These exclusive attacks hit way harder than standard magic and actively buff your party’s stats while crushing the enemy. If you mix these blood skills with the perfect bat loadout, your team becomes virtually unstoppable. But raw firepower won’t solve every problem you run into. The nine temples are heavily guarded by tricky mysteries and environmental puzzles. You have to actually use your brain to solve these traps before the monsters slip away and regroup deeper in the dungeon.
