The core campaign pulls absolutely no punches. You are tossed straight into a tactical meat grinder across 18 totally unique single player missions. The developers smartly avoided lazy, repetitive level design. Every single drop throws a wildly different scenario at you, forcing you to aggressively adapt your strategy on the fly.

You cannot just grind your character’s stats to win or tank a million bullets. If you do not meticulously plan your angles and execute flawlessly, you will get completely flattened. The incredibly crisp audio design and gritty visuals make every shattered window and incoming round feel uncomfortably real. It violently spikes your heart rate the second the shooting starts.

FIGHTING THE CLOCK IN A BRUTAL ENDLESS GRIND

Sometimes you just want to see exactly how long you can last before the screen goes entirely black. The endless wave mode is a pure, unapologetic endurance test. You are dropped into seven distinct, highly complex maps with a relentlessly ticking clock and an absolutely overwhelming enemy force. Spoiler alert: you are not making it out of this mode alive. The only real question is how many enemies you can drag down into the dirt with you.

Thankfully, the game hands you the keys to a ridiculously heavy arsenal to delay the inevitable. You aren’t just fighting with basic pistols. You get access to top tier military hardware and literal air support that you can call in to completely level a hot zone when the swarm gets way too chaotic. It is fast, loud, and incredibly satisfying.
