Raid: Dead Rising drops you straight into dark, creepy environments where you are constantly fighting for survival. You aren’t just standing around taking hits. The game uses a super smooth, free roaming RPG control scheme. You physically dodge, slash, and blast your way through massive crowds of enemies that just keep pouring out of the shadows. Following the map is the easy part. Actually staying alive while navigating those brutal choke points takes some serious reflexes.

UNLOCKING DEVASTATING NEW SKILLS

Spamming your basic attack will only get you so far before a mob completely flattens you. The progression system here is actually really satisfying. Every single kill feeds your experience bar, and hitting those level milestones feels incredibly rewarding because it directly unlocks heavy new skills. Once you figure out how to chain your massive cooldowns together, you can wipe out half a screen of monsters in a few seconds. The difficulty ramps up fast, so you absolutely need to keep pushing your character’s raw power to keep pace.

SQUAD BACKUP AND EPIC GEAR UPGRADES

You don’t always have to face the horde totally alone. As you push deeper into the campaign, you unlock awesome AI controlled support characters who jump into the chaos to watch your back. The real game changer is the loot, though. Dropping into a level with basic starter weapons is a guaranteed death sentence later on. You have to constantly hunt down new gear and heavily upgrade your loadout. Boosting a single piece of high tier equipment completely transforms your base stats, giving you that massive damage spike you need to survive the endgame runs.
